Australia’s plant-based community has quickly become spoiled for choice when it comes to enjoying delicious vegan burgers.
Following the success of their vegan Bunny Burger, Grill’d has added the Amazing Vegan Cheeseburger to its line-up, (pictured above.)
The cheeseburger consists of a homemade ‘beef’ patty, served with dill pickles, Spanish onion and vegan mayonnaise.
Grill’d has also added the Hemp Therepea burger to its menu, which includes a pea and hemp patty, avocado, cos lettuce, betroot and basil.
Whilst the Hemp Therepea burger is served with tzatziki, vegans can readily swap this option for another sauce.
Meanwhile, Nando’s has seriously upped its plant-based game.
The Portuguese chain, once best known for serving flame-grilled chicken, now offers an impressive vegan menu.
Vegans can enjoy a veggie patty – served on a wholegrain burger bun, in a wrap or toasted pita – complete with fresh avocado, tomato, lettuce and peri-peri chutney.
Nandos is also serving up a range of vegan-friendly salads, including tabbouleh, quinoa and the Mediterranean or Superfuel salads – served without feta cheese.*
Lord of the Fries has long been a vegan favourite, and now the ethical fast food chain has brought the world-famous Beyond Meat burger patty to Aussie customers.
Dubbed the ‘future of protein’, Beyond Meat gained a cult-like following the USA, with the 100% vegan patty said to look, cook and even ‘bleed’ like regular meat.
Lord of the Fries is serving its Original Burger with the Beyond Meat patty; plus lettuce, sliced onion, tangy pickles and vegan cheese.
Vegans who like it hot may prefer the Spicy Burger – which combines a Beyond Meat patty with Tabasco sauce, jalapenos and chilli mayonnaise.
If that’s not enough, LOTF is now offering an all-vegan, all-day breakfast menu including Chik’n Waffles, BLTs and hash patties.
With so many incredible vegan options readily available, there’s never been a better time for Aussies to try a plant-based diet.
Australia is the third-fastest growing vegan market globally, and major retailers are certainly starting to take note!
