Yavanna will change the way you think about vegan food

IMG_5403.JPGYavanna is Brisbane’s newest vegan eatery and bar, serving up a mouthwatering selection of plant-based comfort foods, desserts and beverages.

Co-owned by John Baker, Kate Borgo and Cale Drouin – Yavanna opened in July this year and has been delighting vegan and vegan-curious diners ever since.

The secret to Yavanna’s success lies in its ability to challenge some of the misconceptions surrounding plant-based food.

With nary a salad in sight, the menu includes hearty favourites like steak served with creamy mashed potato, a flame-grilled beef burger, crumbed Southern schnitzel and a ‘bad ass’ cheesy burrito.

Diners are cleverly reminded that any mention of animal products in fact references a high quality plant-based alternative – and therein lies the beauty of Yavanna’s menu.

The owners have achieved their vision of creating “an inclusive, welcoming space for all eaters, not just plant-based eaters, all while breaking stereotypes.”

Yavanna is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – and also serves up a delicious range of vegan baked goods, mylkshakes and cocktails.
