Veganuary invites you to ‘go vegan’ for January!

'Go vegan' in the month of JanuaryIt’s that time of the year again, when we make New Year’s resolutions we may not necessarily intend to keep.

However, 2019 can be different – with a pledge that will not only benefit your personal health – but will also have positive affects for the world around you.

Veganuary is an annual event, inviting members of the public to ‘go vegan’ for one month – with over 250,000 participants globally, and new sign-ups every 8 seconds!

Getting involved with Veganuary is simple, with a helpful Vegan Starter Kit provided online – along with tonnes of delicious, flavourful plant-based recipes to try!

There is a compelling list of reasons to get involved with Veganuary during 2019:

  • Animals: Animals are sentient beings that experience emotions, form meaningful bonds, and value their lives. Save our animal friends from unnecessary suffering, by adopting an abundant plant-based diet and committing to it for at least 31 days.
  • Health: Veganuary is the ultimate New Year’s detox, with a vegan diet proven to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, whilst reducing your risk of diabetes and heart disease.
  • Environment: Going vegan is the simplest and most effective way to support our planet. In fact, embracing a plant-based diet will reduce more greenhouse gas emissions than giving up your car!

Going vegan is no longer a ‘fringe’ decision.

In fact, The Economist has heralded 2019 as ‘the year of the vegan’ – whilst Uber Eats has predicted plant-based food will be this year’s most popular trend.

Australia’s major food retailers are increasingly catering to vegan diets – with restaurants such as Domino’sGrill’d, Hungry Jack’sMad Mex, San Churro and Zambrero all releasing vegan menu items last year alone.

On top of that, supermarket giants including Coles and Woolworths are vying to expand their range of vegan-friendly grocery products – making it easier for you to purchase and enjoy tasty, convenient plant-based foods.

There’s never been a better time to go vegan!

Get your mates to pledge together, and have fun discovering your favourite plant-based recipes, restaurants and shops as a group.
