The new menu features two vegan burgers, a vegetarian burger, and other products designed to cater for Australia’s changing dietary needs.

The new ‘Vegan Cheeseburger 3.0’ consists of a vegan-friendly ‘beef’ patty, dairy-free cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles; served with vegan aioli and special sauce on a wholemeal bun.

Meanwhile, the ‘New Mexico’ burger features a black bean and rice patty, rocket, avocado, red onion, tomatoes, jalapenos; with vegan-friendly aioli and harissa mayo.

Customers can also get their hands on an all-new vegetarian burger, low-carb bun options, two new salads, and dairy-free shakes.

Burger Urge describes its new menu as an ongoing commitment to the chain’s ‘Good Food Revolution’.

“The burger has become processed, plastic, unhealthy and unsatisfying… We’re striving to be something more…” the Burger Urge website states.

Australia’s plant-based community has taken to Facebook to express their support for the new vegan menu:

  1. Interesting how Burger Urge have only just concluded a menu advertsing llama burgers. They sure know how to make a quick buck. I’ll be staying away from them even if they have vegan initiatives. A wise man never forgets.
